WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform, has announced the updating emoji reactions, as well as a 2Gigabyte file sharing limitation and the ability to add up to 512 people to a group discussion.
Following the launch of WhatsApp's Communities feature, the app added additional emoji reactions, eliminating group overload and attempting to bring more fun reactions for better textual expression.
Furthermore, thanks to end-to-end encryption, users can now communicate files up to 2GB in size, up from 100MB previously. The company wants to make it easier for students and staff to communicate through the platform.
A display counter will also show how long it will take to upload or download the file.
In response to many user demands, WhatsApp has expanded the maximum number of users who can be joined to a single group conversation to 512, assuring private, secure communities.
Last month, the popular messaging app outlined its vision of Communities working together to achieve their goals.
